Welcome to Recallium. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our language learning platform. By using Recallium, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By creating an account or using Recallium, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Recallium is a language learning platform that helps users build vocabulary through context-based learning, spaced repetition, and AI-powered exercises. Our services include:

  • Vocabulary management and organization
  • Multiple practice modes and exercises
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • AI-generated learning content
  • Social features for sharing and collaboration

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use Recallium, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

Recallium offers a free tier ("Explorer") with limited features. The free tier is subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

Our paid subscription ("Unlimited") provides access to all features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase.

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Recallium, including vocabulary lists, sections, and notes. By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content to provide our services.

5.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
  • Contains malware or malicious code
  • Violates the privacy of others

6. Acceptable Use

When using Recallium, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated means to access our services without permission
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Use our services for commercial purposes without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

Recallium and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Feedback

If you provide us with feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use and incorporate such feedback without compensation or attribution.

8. Third-Party Services

Recallium may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., Google for authentication, AI services for content generation). Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Recallium is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Learning outcomes will be achieved
  • All content will be accurate or complete

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recallium shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recallium and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of Recallium after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Recallium operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
